Washington, D.C. - Trinity College senior tri-captain Omar Allaudin (Lahore, Pakistan) and first-year Ziad Sakr (Tanta, Egypt) each grinded out 3-2 wins in the finals of two of the four College Squash Association (CSA) National Men's Squash Singles Championship "B" Division (Molloy Trophy) Tournaments this afternoon at George Washington University.  In the "A" Division (Pool Trophy) Tournament Finals, Harvard's David Ryan outlasted Trinity sophomore Kush Kumar (Dhampur, India), 3-2, in thrilling fashion with a 12-10 triumph in the deciding fifth game.

Allaudin fell behind, 2-1, after taking the first game, 11-9, as Pennsylvania's David Yacobucci won the second game, 13-11, and the third, 11-5.  Allaudin rallied to take the next two games, 11-7, and, 11-4, to clinch the match.  In Sakr's match against Rochester's Matthew Toth, each of the first three games were won by a score of 11-9 but the Bantam rookie came out on top in the second and third for a 2-1 lead.  Toth edged Sakr, 12-10, in game four but Sakr took the clinching fifth game, 11-5.  Kumar, seeded No. 1 in the 16-player field for the Pool Trophy, won the first game, 11-4, and the third, 11-7, to take a 2-1 lead but dropped the fourth game, 11-3, before falling just short in the fifth.

Kumar had swept Harvard's Saadeldin Abouaish, 12-10, 11-3, 11-7 in the Pool Trophy semifinals on Saturday after blanking George Washington's Mahmoud Abdel Maksoud, 12-10, 11-3, 11-4, in the opening round and besting Columbia's Velavan Senthilkumar, 3-2, in the quarterfinals on Friday.  Both Allaudin and Sakr had won twice on Friday and they each recorded 3-1 semifinal wins on Saturday to reach the finals this afternoon.
