Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College women's golf team, led by Head Coach Brittany Grimm (1st season), has announced the fall schedule for its inaugural season in 2018-19. Trinity announced the addition of women's golf to its list of varsity sports beginning in the fall of 2018 in February, giving the College 30 varsity sport and 15 women’s varsity sports. The Bantams are the 14th Division III school in New England and first Division III school in Connecticut to sponsor the sport, and will immediately be allowed to compete for the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Golf Championship in 2018-19.
The Bantams begin play in Maine on September 8 at the Bowdoin College Invitational before traveling 40 minutes north the following day (Sep. 9) for the Bates College Invitational. The Bantams then compete in the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational on the weekend of September 15-16 at Wellesley College before playing in the Mount Holyoke Invitational the following from September 22-23.
Trinity closes the month of September at the Williams Fall Invitational (Sep. 29-30) before competing in its first-ever NESCAC Championships from October 6-7 at Middlebury College. The winner of the NESCAC Championships receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships in the spring.
