Cleveland, Ohio - Trinity College junior captain Grant Sorensen (Moore, Okla.) lost his first two matches in the 149-pound bracket of the NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships today at the Public Auditorium. Sorensen, who became the first Bantam since 2015 to qualify for the NCAA Championships with a wild card entry after placing third in the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championships in February, lost his first match, 12-3, against top-seeded Cross Cannone, of Wartburg. In the consolation bracket, Sorensen was edged by Stevens Techs Dylan Van Sickell, 5-4, ending the Bantams' chances of figuring in the team scoring. Sorensen completes his historic season with a final record of 34-7.
