Worcester, Mass. - The Trinity College women's third-varsity four finished third in the grand final race with a time of 8:23.109, as the Bantams came in ninth place of 28 teams in the Overall Points Trophy Standings at the New England Rowing Championship (NERC) Regatta this afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond. Trinity's 'B' crew added a third place finish in the petit final with a time of 8:41.561 and the varsity eight was fourth in its first heat with a time of 6:53.885. Trinity finished ninth among 32 teams in the Men's and Women's Overall Points Trophy Standings 71.95 points, edging 10th-place Connecticut College by .64 points. Boston College won the Overall Points Trophy title with 71.20 points and Bates won the combined points crown with 172.29 points.
In the second-varsity eight heats, the Bantams finished in 7:46.163, good for fourth. The varsity eight finished fifth overall in the petit final with a time of 7:15.664 to capture fifth, just over three seconds behind fourth-place Colby and 13 seconds behind first-place UNH.
