Trinity Women's Squash Captures 12th NESCAC Championship With Victory Over Williams

Clinton, N.Y. - The Trinity College women's squash team captured its 12th straight New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship with a 7-2 victory over the Williams College Ephs on Sunday at the Little Squash Center on Hamilton's campus in upstate New York. Six Bantams won by 3-0 sweeps while the Ephs picked up victories at No. 7, 8 and 9. Bantam senior captain Raneem Sharaf (Cairo, Egypt) allowed a mere eight points to her opponent at the top-spot while rookie Vanessa Raj (Penang, Malaysia) yielded just 12 total points to her opposition. Williams has finished second for the ninth time, and the fourth time in the last four years after falling to the Bantams, 9-0, in 2015, 2016 and 2017. After today's victory, the Bantams look ahead to the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships which begin on February 16th, hosted by Harvard University.
