Hartford, Conn. –Trinity College Men's and Women's Track and Field Head Coach George Suitor (25th season) has announced his team's schedules for the upcoming 2016-17 indoor season. In total, the men and women will compete 10 times during the winter, highlighted by their annual trip to the New England Championships in February.
Last season, the men recorded a pair of top-five finishes and saw several individuals excel on the track. The women racked up multiple top-six finishes in 2015-16, highlighted by a fourth-place result at the Springfield Invitational in late January.
The Bantams open their slate with the lone meet of the fall semester at the Snowflake Invitational (12/3) hosted by Smith College. The teams begin the 2016 calendar year at the Maroon and White Classic at Springfield College (1/21) before returning to Springfield a week later for the Massassoit Classic (1/28) to close out the month of January.
In the beginning of February, the men and women will split squads to compete at the Wesleyan Invitational (2/4) and the Cupid Challenge at Tufts University (2/4) on the same day. The Following week, the Bantams will travel to Boston to compete at the Valentine Invitational on February 10 and February 11. On February 18-19, the women take part in the New England Division III Women's Championships at MIT and the men will be competing in the same event hosted by Tufts. The Bantams close out the month with the two-day New England Open Championships (2/24-2/25) in Boston.
During the final month of the indoor season, the teams will head to the Tufts Last Chance Meet (3/3) for the final meet of the indoor season. Trinity track and field performers can qualify to compete in the NCAA Division III National Indoor Championships in mid-March North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.
