Medford, Mass. - Sophomore Katie Marlow-Benedick (Weston, Mass.) placed first in the 200-meter dash while sophomore Peace Kabari (Manchester, N.H.) set a new college record in the shot put to lead the Trinity College women's track and field team at the Tuft's University National Qualifying Meet at the Gantcher Center.
Marlow-Benedick placed first in the 200-meter dash, recording a 25.78 finals time, just shy of her 25.28 college record she set at the Last Chance Meet at Boston University on February 25th. In field events, Kabri re-broke her school record she set last week, throwing finals distance of 12.45 meters.
The Bantam 4x400-meter relay squad, made up of Junior Morgan Hallow (Charlotte, N.C.), sophomore Katie Lazur (East Hanover, N.J.), rookie Emma Buckley (Hanover, Mass.) and Marlow-Benedick fell just short of their sub-4 minute school record, recording a time of 4:02:48.
