Trinity Volleyball Announces 2017 Schedule

Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College volleyball team, under the guidance of Head Coach Jen Bowman (14th season), has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2017 season. In total, the Bantams will take to the court 20 times, highlighted by 14 matches in front of their home crowd inside Oosting Gymnasium. The Bantams will have 10 crucial New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tilts this season with hopes of making the post-season.

In 2016, the team finished the season with a 10-13 overall record and a 1-9 mark in NESCAC Action. With a strong contingent of returning players that made an impact on both offense and defense last season, the Bantams will look to return to the post-season for the 10th time in the last 13 years.

The Bantams will open the season on the road at Coast Guard (9/6) before returning to Hartford for a ten-game homestand. Trinity opens at home by hosting Eastern Connecticut State (9/8), Clark (9/9) and Westfield State (9/9) in the two-day Trinity Invitational. Trinity will next host in-state rival Western Connecticut (9/12) and Keene State (9/14) before beginning conference play with a home game versus Middlebury (9/16). The Bantams then host Amherst in another NESCAC tilt on September 22 before welcoming Marine Maritime and Mount St. Mary to campus for a pair of games on September 23. The Bantams conclude their ten-game homestand with a 7 p.m. matchup against Mitchell on September 26 before finishing the month of September with road tilts at Wesleyan (9/29) and Connecticut College (9/30).

Trinity will begin October with a pair of home games against Bowdoin (10/6) and Tufts (10/7). before hitting the road the following weekend for two more conference games, against Williams (10/13) and Hamilton (10/14). The Bantams will take part in the Hall of Fame Invitational on October 20-21 at Smith College, before wrapping up the regular season at home versus Colby (10/27) and Bates (10/28).
