Trinity Volleyball Blanked By Hamilton

Hartford, Conn. - Junior MH Margaret O'Brien (Concord, Mass.) had 11 kills and five blocks to lead the visiting Hamilton College Continentals to a 3-0 victory over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball action this afternoon at Oosting Gymnasium.  Trinity falls to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the NESCAC with its third setback in a row, while the Continentals even their overall mark to 3-3 and their NESCAC record to 1-1.  Sophomore Hanna Engstrom (Hopkinton, Mass.) had 11 kills, an ace, and a block for Trinity.

Hamilton won the first set, 25-19, and the second, 25-12, and scored three of the final four points of the third set to turn a 22-all tie into a 25-23 victory.  Junior OH Courtney Brown (Port Chester, N.Y.) added 10 kills, while Kyndal Burdin (Boynton Beach, Fla.) had 22 assists, and Christine Zizzi (West Falls, N.Y.) finished with 27 digs.  Senior tri-captain S Randi Whitham (Weymouth, Mass.) totaled 23 assists and 11 digs, while junior OH Rachel Underwood (Danville, Calif.) contributed six kills and 15 digs for the Bantams.
