North Dartmouth, Mass. – Senior co-captain Briana Daley (Oak Park, Ill.) finished fifth overall with a time of 18:37 over 5,000 meters to lead the Trinity College Bantams to second place in the team standings at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Women's Cross Country Invitational this afternoon. Trinity's 71 points was 34 better than the third-place Brandeis University Judges in a field of 40 teams, while Division II Assumption won the team title with 46 points.
Daley was 43 seconds behind New England College's Abby Shafer in first place, six seconds shy of fourth-place, and three seconds faster than the sixth-place runner. Trinity sophomore Grace Harrison (Montclair, N.J.) added an 11th-place time of 18:57, classmate Samantha Feenstra (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) was 14th at 19:01, and junior Anna Barnes (Storrs, Conn.) was 17th at 19:09.
