Murren Family Field/DiBenedetto Stadium

The construction of Murren Family Field at DiBenedetto Stadium in 2017 gave Trinity College one of the top baseball facilities in all of NCAA Division III. The baseball field surface is a synthetic Field Turf over a free-draining stone base with underdrains. A sand and rubber infill mix is installed in a firm condition for a consistent ball bounce. The pitching areas remain as natural clay, while all other areas are synthetic turf. The dimensions of the diamond are 330' to right and left field and 400' to center field.

The field amenities include new in ground dugouts, a 750-seat grandstand and press box and a new net backstop and black vinyl coated chain link fencing with a 25' high batter's eye in center field. The dugouts feature two tiered-seating benches, bat and helmet cubbies and storage shelving. The grandstands have slip resistant aluminum decking and flip-up chair seating in the central area behind home plate. A new enclosed press box sits atop the stands for use by coaches, press and filming. A new scoreboard was provided to match the new stadium features, and the field is lit by six Musco sports light towers to 70 FC in the infield and 50 FC in the outfield. A network of lit walkways have been provided to improve flow through the athletic complex.

The turf will allow us to get outside earlier in the year and better develop our student-athletes while at Trinity."
