Athletics Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee – Trinity College

DEI United As One

Mission Statement
The Athletics Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee strives to create a community of belonging, acceptance, respect, and understanding of differences for our entire athletic family.

We will break down silos that exist within our greater campus community through education and dialogue.  We will amplify the voices of those who are underrepresented and marginalized by using our platform in Athletics to promote positive change at Trinity.

We will take an active approach in combating actions, words, and accelerants of hate in order to establish a climate of mutual respect and inclusion.

Goals
The DEIB Committee is committed to affecting change in the athletic department and the broader Trinity community with these goals to guide our actions:

  • Create and foster safe spaces for underrepresented and marginalized groups
  • Dismantle systemic racism that exists in our ecosystem
  • Establish educational programing to create an actively anti-racist environment
  • Develop allyship through dialogue and action
