Trinity Men's Squash Handles No. 2-Ranked Yale At Home

Hartford, Conn. – Senior Randy Lim (Penang, Malaysia) controlled the No. 5 match with an 11-2, 11-1, 11-7 victory to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 7-2 win over the visiting Yale University Bulldogs in College Squash Association (CSA) men's squash action this evening at Kellner Center.   The 12-time defending National Champion Bantams, ranked No. 1 in the nation, improve to 6-0 and extend the longest winning streak in the history of intercollegiate varsity sports to 230 matches.  The No. 2-ranked Bulldogs drop to 7-1. 

Trinity won at the top seven spots in the lineup, taking a 2-1 lead after the first wave and leading, 4-2, after the second wave.  Trinity senior Chris Binnie (Kingston, Jamaica) won the clincher at the No. 4 spot, downing Yale senior captain Naishadh Lalwani (Mumbai, India), 3-1.  Sophomore Johan Detter (Malmoe, Sweden) impressed with a 3-0 triumph at No. 7 for the Bantams.  Juniors John Roberts (Belfast, Ireland) and Robert Berner (Greenwich, Conn.) scored the Yale points with 3-1 wins at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively.
