Trinity Men's Squash Takes Care Of Cornell

Ithaca, N.Y. – Senior Randy Lim (Penang, Malaysia) and junior Antonio Diaz-Gonzalez (Mexico City, Mexico) each allowed just 11 points playing in the No. 5 and No. 6 matches, respectively, to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 6-3 victory over the Cornell University Big Red in men's squash action this afternoon. 

Twelve-time defending national champion Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the nation, improves to 10-0 and extends the longest winning streak in the history of intercollegiate varsity sports to 234 in a row.  Cornell, ranked No. 5 nationally, is now 6-3 with the loss to the Bantams and a 9-0 win over Williams this afternoon. Thomas Spettigue, ranked No. 23 nationally among individuals, posted a 3-1 win over Trinity's No. 16-ranked Chris Binnie (Kingston, Jamaica) in the No. 4 match, while Bantam sophomore Johan Detter (Malmoe, Sweden) pulled out a 3-2 triumph at No. 7 after dropping the first two games.
