Hartford, Conn. – Senior William Burchfield (Locust
Valley, N.Y.) won both his matches by 3-0 scorss to lead the
Trinity College Bantams to 8-1 wins over the Colby College Mules
and the Middlebury College Panthers in the New England Small
College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Squash
Championship Tournament at Trinity's George A. Kellner Squash
Center this afternoon. Four-time defending NESCAC Champion
and 12-time defending national champion Trinity, ranked No. 1 in
the nation, improves to 13-0 and extends the longest winning streak
in the history of intercollegiate varsity sports to 237 in a
row. Trinity will face the winner of tonight's
semifinal match between Bates and Williams in the NESCAC Finals
tomorrow at 1 p.m.
