Hartford, Conn. - Junior Reinhold Hergeth (Bloemfontein, South
Africa) allowed just 14 points in a 3-0 win at the No. 5 position
to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 8-1 victory over the
visiting Franklin and Marshall College Diplomats in men's squash
action this afternoon at the Kellner Squash Center. 13-time
defending College Squash Association (CSA) Trinity, ranked No. 1 in
the nation, improves to 8-0 and extends the longest winning streak
in the history of intercollegiate varsity sports to 252 matches in
a row. No. 8-ranked Franklin and Marshall drops to 5-1.
Trinity had not played a match since December 10 and the Big Red
had been off since December 3. Junior Juan Flores (San
Salvador, El Salvador) and sophomore Matthew Mackin (Greenwich,
Conn.) also posted 3-0 triumphs for the Bantams.
