Williamstown, Mass. - Sophomore Moustafa Hamada (Alexandria, Egypt) and first-year Zeyad Elshorafy (Alexandria, Egypt) each won twice by 3-0 scores to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a pair of victories in a tri-match at Williams College. The Bantams, ranked No. 2 in the nation, improve to 3-0 with an 8-1 victory over the Drexel University Dragons and the host Williams College Ephs.
"We are at the very beginning of what will be a marathon," said Trinity Head Coach Paul Assaiante. "The first few miles were satisfactory and we learned much we can build on."
Trinity sophomore Vrishab Kotian (Mumbai, India) and senior Juan Flores (San Salvador, El Salvador) also won in matches. Trinity junior Matthew Mackin (Greenwich, Conn.), whose only loss in 23 matches last year came against his own teammate in the CSA Singles Championships, fell at the No. 2 position against Drexel's Justin Singh, 11-6, 11-7, 11-8.
