Princeton, N.J. - Senior co-captain Vikram Malhotra (Mumbai, India) dominated the No. 1 match with an 11-3, 11-8, 11-3 victory over Gabriel De Melo to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 8-1 win over the Franklin and Marshall College Diplomats in the College Squash Association (CSA) National Championship Quarterfinals at Princeton University.  The 13-time defending CSA Champion Bantams, ranked No. 1 in the nation and seeded No. 1 in the eight-team tournament, improve to 17-1 with their ninth straight triumph and advance to the CSA Semifinals tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. against the No. 4-seeded Harvard University Crimson.  Harvard edged No. 5-seeded Rochester, 5-4, while No. 2-seeded Princeton won, 8-1, over No. 7-seeded Dartmouth and No. 6-seeded Cornell upset No. 3-seeded Yale.

Trinity led, 3-0, after the first wave as rookies Miled Zarazua (Mexico City, Mexico) and Vrishab Kotian (Mumbai, India) posted wins at the No. 3 and No. 6 spots, respectively, and fellow rookie Moustafa Hamada (Alexandria, Egypt) won, 3-1, at the No. 9 position.  The second wave produced a couple of five-game marathons, as Guilherme De Melo downed Trinity senior co-captain Antonio Diaz-Gonzalez (Mexico City, Mexico) to earn the Diplomat point, and Bantam junior Johan Detter (Malmoe Sweden) outlasted Franklin and Marshall's Ryan Mullaney.  Trinity sophomore Matthew Mackin (Greenwich, Conn.) and juniors Reinhold Hergeth (Bloemfontein, South Africa), and Juan Flores (San Salvador, El Salvador) also earned wins.
