Williamstown, Mass. - First-year Omar Allaudin (Lahore, Pakistan) outscored his opponent in the No. 8 match, 33-10 (11-7, 11-1, 11-2) to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 victory over the Williams College Ephs in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Squash Championship Finals this afternoon. Trinity improves to 15-1, having outscored its opponents in the tournament, 23-2, over two days to capture the league crown for the ninth time in the nine-year history of the event.
Eight Bantams won by 3-0 scores today, including senior co-captains Moustafa Hamada (Alexandria, Egypt) and Karan Malik (Bangalore, India), junior Juan Vargas (Bogota, Colombia), sophomore Affeeq Ismail (Kuching, Malaysia), and first-year Rick Penders (Maastricht, Netherlands) who each posted 3-0 triumphs in all three rounds of the tournament. Bantam senior Elroy Leong (Selangor, Malaysia) closed out the match with a thrilling marathon victory over Nick Greaves-Tunnell, 12-10, 11-6, 9-11, 18-16.
