Brunswick, Maine— The Trinity College men's squash team won their 14th consecutive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title this afternoon with a 7-2 victory over the Williams College Ephs at Bowdoin College's Lubin Family Squash Center. The No. 2-ranked and top-seeded Bantams improve to 16-1 with three wins this weekend, having downed Tufts and Middlebury, 8-1 in each match, yesterday to reach the finals. The Bantams now prepare for their final match at No. 4 Princeton on Saturday, February 22 at noon.
The top three players on Trinity's ladder, first-years Miko Aijanen (Jarvenpaa, Finland) and Ali El Toukhy (Cairo, Egypt) and junior Ziad Sakr (Tanta, Egypt), each won by 3-0 scores in all three NESCAC matches, while rookies Utkarsh Behati (Jaipur, India), Julius Bernhard (Norderstedt, Germany), and Alex Bernhard (New York, N.Y.) also went 3-0 for the weekend. Aijanen conceded just 13 points in a 23-minute match at the top of the ladder, while senior tri-captain Patrick O'Sullivan (Glasgow, Scotland) recorded the seventh point this afternoon with a 3-2 victory at the No. 6 spot.
