Lia Urban-Spillane (Rochester, N.Y) repeated as a 2020 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-American, while the Bantams were named as a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams in both semesters of the 2019-20 academic year. Urban-Spillane also joined Bantam senior tri-captains

Trinity, coached by
Carlos Vega (6th season), finished 4-6-1 in dual meets and came in 11th place in the NESCAC Championship Meet this winter. The CSCAA selected a record 1,479 swimmers and divers for its Scholar All-America team. The award recognizes students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed at their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The CSCAA Team Scholar All American award is presented to institutions' swimming and diving teams who have achieved g.p.a. of at least 3.0. To receive NESCAC All-Academic recognition, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative g.p.a. of at least 3.50.
Urban-Spillane, who repeats on both the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team and the NESCAC All-Academic Team, qualified for the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championships for the second year in a row in 2019-20. Urban-Spillane won both the one- and three-meter diving events at four different dual meets and the one-meter diving at a fifth dual meet this winter. At the NESCAC Championship Meet, she placed ninth off the one-meter board with a score of 380.7 and 10th off the three-meter board at 354.20. She added a 15th-place score of 380.70 off the one-meter board and an ninth-place score of 422.70 off the three-meter board in the NCAA Regional Championships. Urban-Spillane holds Trinity College and Trinity Natatorium records off both boards for 11 dives. Her scores of 397.80 off the one-meter board and 420.39 off the three-meter board this winter set new marks for the Trinity Natatorium, and her scores of 433.50 and 464.75 off the one- and three-meter boards, respectively, are new marks for the Bantam women's swimming and diving program. A graduate of Harley High School, Urban-Spillane is majoring in psychology at Trinity. She is the daughter of Marguerite Urban and Linda Spillane.
Ettinger, a three-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree, won the 100-yard breaststroke at Brandeis and against Wesleyan, the 200-yard breaststroke at Hamilton, and the 200-yard backstroke against Clark this winter. Ettinger owns Trinity's second-fastest, all-time top time in the 100-yard individual medley (1:02.24), the 200-yard IM (2:10.25), the 400-yard IM (4:37.75), and the 200-yard butterfly (2:09.55), its fifth-fastest, all-time top time in the 50-yard breaststroke (31.70), and its ninth-fastest in the 100-yard butterfly (59.98). She was Trinity women's swimming and diving's representative on the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team in her first three seasons on the squad. An alum of New Canaan High School, Ettinger graduated from Trinity in May with a degree in biochemistry. She is the daughter of Margaret and Richard Ettinger.
Guay, a three-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree, won the 50-yard butterfly at Clark and the 100-yard breaststroke against St. Joseph (Conn.) this winter. She owns Trinity's eighth-fastest, all-time top time in the 50-yard breaststroke (32.09) and its 10
th-fastest, all-time top time in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.23). An alum of Wakefield Memorial High School, Guay graduated from Trinity in May with a degree in neuroscience. She is the daughter of Stephen and Kimberly Guay. Morissette, a three-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree, competes in the backstroke and freestyle for the Bantams. An alum of Leavitt High School, Morissette graduated from Trinity in May with a degree in American Studies and Classics. She is the daughter of Maurice and Stacey Morissette.
Capprini competes in the freestyle for the Bantams. A graduate of Norton High School, Capprini is majoring in computer science at Trinity. She is the daughter of Mary and Mark Capprini. Chouinard placed ninth off the one-meter board with a score of 380.7 and 10th off the three-meter board at 354.20 in the NESCAC Championships Meet this winter. A graduate of Natick High School, Chouinard is majoring in Hispanic Studies and neuroscience at Trinity. She is the daughter of Marguerite Kristin and Wayne Chouinard.
Umholtz won the 50-yard butterfly against St. Joseph (Conn.), the 100-yard butterfly at Brandeis, both the 200-yard butterfly and the 500-yard freestyle at Hamilton, the 200-yard butterfly against Wesleyan, and the 500-yard freestyle in a tri-meet at Vassar this winter. Umholtz owns Trinity's all-time record in the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.72) and its eighth-fastest, all-time top time in the 50-yard backstroke (28.91), and its 10
th-fastest, all-time top time in the 50-yard butterfly (27.46) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.50). An graduate of Northland Academy, Umholtz is majoring in anthropology and environmental science at Trinity. She is the daughter of Therese and Adam Umholtz.
