HARTFORD, Conn. - The visiting Williams College Ephs won at the last three weight classes to earn a 30-17 victory over the Trinity College Bantams in wrestling action this evening at Oosting Gymnasium.  The dual match was the first for both teams since 2019-20.  Bantam sophomore
Adam Frost (Bennington, Vt.) and first-year
Jacob Marselli (Tolland, Conn.) had pins, while junior co-captain Levin Lyskawa (Londonderry, N.H.) and rookie
Chris Perry (Mohegan Lake, N.Y.) recorded Trinity individual wins.
Marselli opened the match with a technical fall at 125 pounds to give the home team a 5-0 lead but Scott Richter pinned his opponent in just 32 seconds at 133 pounds to put Williams up, 6-5.  Perry blanked Jack Napeloni, 4-0, at 141 to put the Bantams back ahead, 9-6, but back-to-back Eph wins made the score, 18-9, in their favor.  Trinity battled back with a 5-4 win by Lyskawa over Brendan Kiernan at 165 pounds and a win by fall at 6:05 by Frost at 174 pounds that knotted things back up again at 18 apiece.
Williams used a pair of 9-8 victories to pull ahead by six at 24-18.  Will Smith eked out a win over Trinity junior
Anders Klass (Braintree, Mass.) at 184 pounds, and Elias Chen did the same against Trinity first-year Booker Lester (Sturbridge, Mass.) at 197.  The Ephs closed it out in the heavyweight match, as Tommy Goodwin pinned Trinity senior co-captain
John O'Brien (Reading, Mass.) to account for the 30-18 final tally.
