Jacob Steckler (Barrington, R.I.) shot a 153 to tie for 71st on the leaderboard and lead the Trinity College Bantams to 25th place in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament at Oglebay Resort, as the second round concluded this afternoon. The Bantams finished with a team score of 622 (+58), which was two strokes shy of 24th-place Sewanee and nine better than 26th-place Catholic. Trinity was tied with Trine and Trinity (Texas) for 22nd place after round one, but did not make the final cut of 18 teams after two rounds. Illinois Wesleyan has led the field after each round, currently holding a five-stroke lead with a two-day score of 576.
Steckler fired a 72 (+2) to a tie for 13th on the leaderboard after yesterday's round played on the par-70 Palmer Course. Trinity finished with a team score of 309 (+29) after round one. Bantams sophomore

Ricardo Leme (Lake Villa, Ill.) shot a 79, sophomore
Nicholas Li (Vancouver, British Columbia) shot an 82, and junior
Maahin Gulati (Weston, Mass.) finished at 85 on Tuesday.
Today, Li paced the Bantams with a 75 to finish the two days tied for 118th at 157. Steckler shot an 81 this afternoon, ending up as Trinity's lowest scorer for the tournament, while Edminster and Leme both shot a 79 today. Edminster is tied for 98th at 155 and Leme is tied for 121st at 158. Gulati improved five strokes from yesterday with an 80 today, closing at 165 and 155th among individuals.
