Emma Buckley (Hanover, Mass.) wrapped up day two of the New England Women's Outdoor Track and Field Open Championships, held at Veteran's Stadium in New Britain. Buckley, along by the program's 4x400 team both competed in a day two final after exceptional performances from a handful of athletes in day one.

Emma Buckley (Hanover, Mass.) qualified for Saturday's 200-meter finals with the day's fastest preliminary time of 25.18 after day one of the New England Women's Outdoor Track and Field Open Championships. Bantam senior
Julia Burdulis (Hopkinton, Mass.) added an 18th-place time of 18:42.38 in the 5,000-meter run and sophomore
Kamila Zygadlo (Wroclaw, Poland) placed 21st in the hammer throw with a 112'02" heave.
Day Two
In the 200-meter final, Buckley finished atop all Division III runners, finishing with a final time of 25.25, edging out University of Rhode Island runner Kelly MacDonnell by one-one hundredth of a second and missing first by just one-tenth of a second. Buckley's finish is inside the top 30 fastest times in the country, with one last shot to break the top 20 at the Tufts Last Chance Meet next weekend.
In the women's 4x400 relay, the quad of Buckley, first-year
Kennedy Mullen (Wilder, Vt.), sophomore
Julianna Kennedy (Andover, Mass.), and first-year
Cate Kneebone (Winchester, Mass.) held their own against 10 Division I programs, placing fifth with a time of 3:56.58. The relay squad ousted New Hampshire by less than a second, and was just shy of beating out Vermont in fourth; Buckley anchored the team, running a 57-second split in the finals.
