Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College women's track and field team traveled to Somerville, Massachusetts, for the second straight weekend to compete at the Tufts Invitational. With one more opportunity to qualify for the NCAA National Championship Meet at the Tufts Last Chance May 20, the Bantams saw a handful of impressive performances on the day.

First-year Gabby Grattan (Milton, Mass.) continues her impressive rookie season, seeing a second-place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.63 meters. Senior captain Emma Buckley (Hanover, Mass.) followed with a victory in the 200-meter dash, squeaking out the win with a final time of 25.19. With a seven-second victory, the quad of Buckley, sophomore Julianna Kennedy (Andover, Mass.), first-year Kennedy Mullen (Wilder, Vt.), and first-year Cate Kneebone (Winchester, Mass.) took first in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:02.17. In a tight race in the 5,000-meter run, senior Julia Burdulis (Hopkinton, Mass.) took second, crossing the line just three seconds behind the winner with a time of 18:08.65.
