Trinity Women's Squash Upends Penn

HARTFORD, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams played their first home match in almost two years and handed the visiting University of Pennsylvania Quakers a 7-2 loss in women's squash action this afternoon at Kellner Center.  Trinity, ranked No. 2 in the nation, improves to 6-0 entering a home match tomorrow against the No. 3-ranked Princeton Tigers.  The Quakers drop to 7-4.  

Trinity won four matches by 3-0 scores, as seniors Sahari Lopez (Zappopan, Mexico) and Nadiia Usenko (KIev, Ukraine) and sophomores Nouran Yousseff (Smouha, Egypt) and Madeleine Hylland (Baerum, Norway) each swept her opponent.  No matches went five sets, as Trinity first-year Malak Moustafa (Alexandria, Egypt) won at the top of the ladder, 3-1 over Penn's Ashley Manning, junior Habiba Dawood (Cairo, Egypt) won, 3-1, at the eighth spot, and rookie Lulu Palacios (Asuncion, Paraguay) won, 3-1, in the sixth position,  Jamila Tarner and Navmi Sharma won, 3-1, and, 3-0, respectively for the Quakers.
