Trinity Women's Squash Stays Perfect With Win Over Princeton

HARTFORD, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams continued their perfect women's squash season with a 6-3 victory over the visiting Princeton University Tigers this afternoon at Kellner Center.  The No. 2-ranked Bantams improve to 7-0 and No. 3-ranked Princeton is now 6-2.  Trinity hosts top-ranked Harvard on Friday at 5 p.m.  Trinity led, 4-2, after two waves with early 3-0 wins by seniors Sahari Lopez (Zappopan, Mexico) and Nadiia Usenko (Kiev, Ukraine) and junior Lily Taylor-French (Fano, Italy) and a 3-1 triumph at the top of the ladder by rookie Malak Moustafa (Alexandria, Egypt) over Princeton's Andrea Toth.  First-year Jana Safy (Cairo, Egypt) swept Elle Ruggiero in a dominant performance at the No. 2 in the lineup, 11-4, 11-6, 11-6, and classmate Madeline Hylland (Baerum, Norway) added a 3-1 win for the Bantams.  Two of Princeton's victories were five-setters, as Ranaam El Torky edged Trinity rookie Nouran Youssef and Katherine Glaser outlasted Trinity first-year Lujan Palacios (Asuncion, Paraguay).
