Aly Tolba (Alexandria, Egypt) earned a 3-2 victory in the No. 8 position, but the Trinity College Bantams were defeated by the No. 2-ranked Harvard University Crimson in men's squash action this evening at Kellner Center. Trinity, ranked No. 3 nationally, falls to 9-2. Harvard is now 11-1. Trinity visits Dartmouth next on Sunday, January 30 at 3 p.m.
Tolba and Harvard's Tate Harms alternated winning sets to get to 2-2 in an extremely close match from beginning to end. Tolba outlasted his counterpart, 13-11, to take the victory in just over an hour of play. Harvard came out on top in two other barn burners in the bottom third. Liam Rotzoll downed Trinity first-year
Mateo Restrepo (Medellin, Colombia), 11-9, 6-11, 5-11, 11-7, 11-9 at the No. 7 spot. Trinity junior Will Curtis (Joondalup, Australia) recovered from an 11-7 loss in the first set to take two 12-10 triumphs in a row, before falling in the last two sets, 11-9, and, 11-4, to Harvard's Connor Stoltz at the bottom of the ladder. The Crimson won at the top six positions, including a 3-0 victory by Victor Crouin over Trinity junior
