Trinity's Bilicic Falls In ITA Men's Tennis Regional Third Round

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Junior Henry Bilicic (Del Mar, Calif.) won his first two matches in the "A" Singles draw but lost, 6-1, 6-0 in the third round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Men's Tennis Division III New England Regional Championships at Bowdoin College this weekend.  Bilicic opened the tournament with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Western New England's Nicholas Bayer.  In the second round, Bilicic outlasted No. 9-seeded Rob Ward, of Middlebury, dropping the first set on a tiebreaker, 7-6 (8-6) but winning the next two sets, 6-4, 6-3.

In doubles on Friday, Bilicic and sophomore Jack Ginter (Phoenixville, Pa.) won 8-2 in the first round but lost to a pair from Tufts in the second round by a score of 8-6.  Bantam junior Eduardo Sanchez-Carrion (Lima, Peru) and first-year Brandon Felcher (Westport, Conn.) lost their first round match, 8-3, against a duo from Brandeis.  Felcher, Ginter, Sanchez-Carrion, and junior Kartik Erodula (Hamden, Conn.) were all entered in the Singles "B" draw but were each beaten in their first match.
