Five Wrestlers Highlight Trinity's Third-Place Finish at Doug Parker Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — To open up the 2022-23 campaign, Trinity College's wrestling teams takes home bronze at the Doug Parker Invitational hosted by Springfield College on the backs of Adam Schaeublin (Salen, Mass.), Chris Perry (Mohegan Lake, N.Y.), Timothy Glynn (West Windsor, N.J.), Adam Frost (Bennington, Vt.) and Nico Patch (Oswego, Ill.) on Saturday. The five Bantams notched 90 total points, while Coast Guard topped the Invite with 153 points and the host school scored 110.5. Trinity pushed past New York University by half a point to secure the third spot out of the 14 competing teams.

First-year 133-pounder Schaeublin won by a 10-4 decision over Centenary's Danny Haws to earn third-place. 149-pounder Perry and 285-pounder Glynn both finished in fourth; Perry was narrowly bested in a 6-4 decision against Springfield's Chase Parrott and Glynn was defeated in a 12-2 decision with Reid Garrison from U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

174-pounder Frost secured a no contest win over Rhode Island College's Chris McCarthy for fifth, while the 157-pounder Patch garnered sixth after being bested in a no contest match with Wesleyan's Aaron Goldman.

Trinity competes next at the RIT Invitational on December 3 at 9 a.m.
