MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Trinity College men's indoor track and field team placed eighth overall with 44.5 points in the New England Division III Championship Meet hosted by Middlebury College this weekend. The Bantams finished above 17 other schools and was just half of a point behind No. 7 Middlebury College. Trinity competes next at Tufts University on Saturday March 5 in the Tufts National Qualifier Meet beginning at 10 a.m.

Larson Sippel (Northampton, Mass.) and sophomore
Toby L'Esperance (Florence, Mass.) placed fifth with a time of 10:20.93 for the Trinity College men's indoor track and field team on Friday at the New England Division III Championship hosted by Middlebury College. The DMR team finished behind MIT, Middlebury, WPI and Bates while besting 11 other schools including Amherst, Coast Guard Academy and Wesleyan University.

Ethan Wilkie took home the shot put crown with a mark of 15.84 meters while
Kinnard Hughes placed fourth in both the long jump (6.84 meters) and triple jump (13.87 meters). Meanwhile, junior
Travis Martin (New Haven, Conn.) crossed the line second in the 1 Mile Run with a 4:13.10 time and sophomore
Toby L'Esperance (Florence, Mass.) placed second in the 1000 Meter Run with a 2:31.45 performance. Additionally, senior
Robert Allen (Bloomfield, Conn.) placed sixth in the 60 Meter Dash Finals with a 7.03 second time and first-year
Larson Sippel (Northampton, Mass.) came in seventh place during the 600 with a 1:23.46 run.
