Trinity Women's Tennis Outmatched by Tufts

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College women's tennis team lost to Tufts University, 9-0 Saturday in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play at the Assaiante Tennis Center. The Bantams drop to 5-3 and 0-2 in the conference while Tufts improves to 5-1 and picks up its second NESCAC victory (2-1) on the year. Trinity resumes conference action at home tomorrow with a 2 p.m. match against Bates College. Trinity senior co-captain Ashley Walker (New Canaan, Conn.) and junior Angelina Shyltsyna (Odessa, Ukraine) played a spirited match at second doubles, falling, 8-7, on an 8-6 tiebreaker.
