HARTFORD, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams stopped an eight-match losing skid in impressive fashion with an 8-1 victory over the visiting Endicott College Gulls in women's tennis action this afternoon at Assaiante Center. Trinity improves to 6-10 with its first win in April and will close the season on Sunday with a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) match at Connecticut College at 2 p.m.
Trinity swept doubles play, although sophomore
Angelina Shyltsyna (Odessa, Ukraine) and first-year
Kennedy White () needed a tiebreaker to win their match at the No. 3 position. In singles, the five Bantam points were straight-set victories at the top five sports on the ladder. Senior co-captain
Ashley Walker (New Canaan, Conn.) dominated with a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles for the Bantams.
