CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Sophomore Lulu Palacios (Asuncion, Paraguay) and first-year Fabiola Cabella (Guadalajara, Mexico) both pulled out 3-2 decisions to earn the fourth and fifth points and lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 7-2 win over the Harvard University Crimson in women's squash action this afternoon.  Top-ranked Trinity improves to 10-0 and Harvard drops to 4-1 with its first loss since 2015, ending its winning streak at 102 matches in a row.  The Bantams visit No. 3-ranked Drexel, which knocked off the Bantams in the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships (Howe Cup) last season, on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Trinity led, 3-0, after the first wave, thanks to 3-1 wins by sophomore Malak Moustafa (Alexandria, Egypt) and first-year Hannah Chukwu (Tatabanya, Hungary) and a 3-2 victory by sophomore Janna El Ashmawy (Alexandria, Egypt).  Habeeba Eldefrawy defeated Trinity junior captain Nouran Youssef (Smouha, Egypt) to put the Crimson on the board, but Palacios outlasted Brecon Welch, 11-8, 11-9, 10-12, 6-11, 11-8, in the No. 6 match to make it, 4-1.  Cabello lost her first two sets against Binney Huffman, 11-3, 12-10, but took the next three, 11-8, 11-9, 12-10, to win the No. 9 match and clinch the team victory for Trinity.  Junior Madeleine Hylland (Baerum, Norway) and rookie Kara Lincou (Le Tampon, Reunion) added Bantam wins in the third wave, while Marina Stefanoni edged Trinity sophomore Jana Safy (Cairo, Egypt) at the top of the ladder to account for a 7-2 final score.
