Trinity Men's Squash Dumps No. 7-Ranked Drexel

Assaiante Wins 500th As Bantam Head Coach

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams handed the Drexel University Dragons an 8-1 loss in men's squash action this evening.  Trinity, ranked No. 6 in the nation, improves to 10-1 and the No. 7-ranked Dragons drop to 5-4.  Trinity junior Mohamed Sharaf (Shiekh Zayed City, Egypt) won, 3-0, at the top of the ladder over Drexel's Haris Qasim and classmate Abdelrahman Nassar (New Cairo, Egypt) did the same at the the No. 3 spot.  The Bantams swept the bottom third thanks to a 3-0 win by rookie Benedek Takacs (Szatymaz, Hungary) and a 3-2 triumphs by junior Khamal Cumberbatch (St. James, Barbados) and senior captain Will Curtis (Joondalup, Australia).  The win was the 500th for Trinity Head Coach Paul Assaiante in his 28th season as the Bantams' head men's squash coach.  Assaiante is 611-85 as a college head men's squash coach at Trinity, Army, and Williams.
