HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Squash team kicked off their 2023-24 season with a 9-0 sweep of visiting Connecticut College at Kellner Courts Friday evening.
The Bantams dropped two sets across nine matches against the Camels.
Mateo Restrepo defeated Hudson Dunn, 3-1 (11-4, 7-11, 11-5, 11-1) in the No. 1 pairing. Adrik Lam swept Samuel Lovejoy, 3-0 (11-7, 13-11, 11-4), followed by
Dmytro Shcherbakov picking up a 3-1 (11-1, 7-11, 11-1, 13-11) in the No. 3 duel.
Advait Adik downed Julio Palomino, 3-0 (11-4, 11-4, 11-5), and then
Will Jones dispatched Ryan Mach, 3-0 (11-5, 14-12, 11-7).
Henry Culhane tallied a 3-0 (11-4, 11-5, 11-8) win, along with
Bo Page (11-2, 11-3, 11-2),
Graham Roberts (11-1, 11-2, 11-4), Burnham Johnson (11-5, 11-0, 11-0), and
Michael Miller (11-2, 11-7, 11-3).
The Bantams will be back on the courts when they travel to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
