HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Squash team won every set against visiting Tufts University in a 9-0 win at Kellner Squash Courts Sunday afternoon.
Junior Ahmed Ismail led the win parade for the Bantams, defeating Shivin Kumar, 11-4, 11-5, 11-2, followed by sophomore Joachim Chuah Han Wen picking up a 11-2, 11-6, 11-3 win over Sanjeev Jeyabalan to make it 2-0. Senior Mohamed Sharaf downed Harry Charlton, 11-4, 11-4, 11-4, and then senior Abdelraham Nassar collected an 11-3, 11-3, 11-3 win over Jared Chin to extend the lead to 4-0.
First year Andrik Lim Kai Shan swept Rohan Bhatia, 11-5, 11-3, 11-4, sophomore Benedek Takacs won 11-7, 11-6, 11-2 over Rohan Valia, and junior Danial Izham registered an 11-6, 11-5, 11-7 over Emerson Wang to build a 7-0 lead. Trinity completed the sweep as junior Marawan ElBorolossy defeated Nachiket Desai, 11-4, 11-6, 12-10, followed by senior Khamal Cumberbatch downing Rutva Samant, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7.
The Bantams will look to extend their win streak with a road trip to Colby College Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. match.
