WATERVILLE, Maine – The fourth-ranked Trinity College Men's Squash team registered a pair of sweeps over Bates College and host Colby College in a pair of matches at Alfond Squash Courts Saturday afternoon. The Bantams improved to 5-0 on the season.
Senior Mohamed Sharaf posted a 3-1 win over Inwoo Lee of Colby, and then a 3-0 victory over Alec Spiro of Bates. Marawan ElBorolossy picked up a victory over Colby's Youssif Mostafa, who had to retire, along with a 3-0 win against Ashton Monteiro of Bates. Ahmed Ismail downed Sabastian Campos of Colby, 3-0, and then defeated Labeeb Ali of Bates, 3-1. Mateo Restrepo collected a 3-0 victory over Colby's Avery Rosenberg, followed by a 3-0 win over Nicolai Brandstadmoe Boe of Bates. Daniel Simon recorded a 3-0 win over Kit Illick of Colby and a 3-0 victory against Maksymilian Celm of Bates.
Against Colby, Benedek Takacs logged a 3-0 win over Jonathan Sosa. Khamal Cumberbatch dispatched Sen Subramaniam, 3-0, and Julius Benthin grabbed a 3-0 win over Rintaro Yamamoto. Daniel Izham registered a 3-0 win over Adrian Castillo, while Abdelrahman Nassar tallied a 3-1 win over Seif Ashraf.
Against Bates, Dmytro Shcherbakov downed Harris Rumlee, 3-0, while Advait Adik and Will Jones added 3-0 wins over Theodore Koenigsbauer and Gus Silverman, respectively.
The Bantams will be back on the courts with a road trip to Bowdoin College Sunday afternoon. First serve is slated for 10:30 a.m.
