Trinity Women's Squash Wins NESCAC Championship Title

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Sophomore Janna El Ashmawy (Alexandria, Egypt) allowed just eight points in her match at the No. 5 position to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 victory over the Tufts University Jumbos in the finals of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Squash Championship Tournament this afternoon at Williams College's Simon Courts.  Trinity, seeded No. 1 in the tournament and ranked No. 1 in the nation, improves to 16-0 with today's 9-0 semifinal win over Amherst and the finals win over the Jumbos.  No. 2-seeded Tufts, which downed Williams College, 6-3, in its semifinal game this morning, is now 12-5.  Trinity did not allow a point in the tournament, winning, 9-0, over Wesleyan in the quarterfinals yesterday, and twice by the same score today.
