Trinity Women's Squash Makes Quick Work Of Yale In Howe Cup Opener

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The top-ranked Trinity College Bantams remained perfect for the season with a 9-0 victory over the Yale University Bulldogs in the quarterfinal round of the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championship (Howe Cup) Tournament this afternoon at the University of Pennsylvania.  The Bantams move on to the CSA Semifinals tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. against the No. 5-seeded University of Virginia Cavaliers who outlasted the No. 4-seeded Drexel University Dragons, 5-4, in their quarterfinal game today.  No. 8-seeded Yale heads to the consolations.  Trinity, now 17-0, knocked off Virginia in last year's Howe Cup Quarterfinals, 8-1.  Trinity sophomore Jana Safy (Cairo, Egypt) won, 3-0, at the top of the ladder, one of five Bantams to win by a 3-0 score.  None of the matches went five games.
