BOSTON, Mass. — On day two of the Indoor Division III New England Championships on Saturday,
Ethan Wilkie (Enfield, Conn.) earned All-New England honors in the shotput with a Trinity record breaking throw of 16.10m and placed fifth in the weight throw with a 16.35m heave to earn All-New England honors on day one of the Indoor Division III New England Championship on Friday. Trinity heads to Tufts University on March 4 for the Tufts National Qualifying Meet with a 10 a.m. start.
Kai Bailin (Shutesbury, Mass.) finished fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.83 for the Trinity College men's track & field team and clocked in at ninth in the 60m dash preliminary race with a time of 7.0009, but was just shy 8 thousandths of a second to qualify for the finals on Friday.
In the 1000m run,
Toby L'Esperance (Florence, Mass.) earned a second-place finish with a time of 2:28.97 for All-New England honors, while
Nicholas Dall (Waterville, Maine) placed ninth overall after crossing the line with a time of 2:30.94.
Nolan McKenna (Boston, Mass.) crossed the finish line at third in the 600m run with a time of 1:21.42 and
Travis Martin (New Haven, Conn.) garnered sixth in the one mile run with a time of 4:13.41.
Sam Strymish (Newton, Mass.) raced in the one mile with a seven second personal best with a final time of 4:17.41 and a 15th-place finish.
The Bantam foursome of McKenna, Zuri Johnson (Powder Springs, Ga.), Bailin and
Darren Warren (West Haven, Conn.) finished sixth in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:22.50, just 1.09 behind fifth place.
