Bilicic Notches Two Wins in 7-2 Loss at Wesleyan

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Henry Bilicic (Del Mar, Calif.) posted a perfect 2-0 on the day after a tie-breaking win at No. 1 singles and a strong 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles with partner Jack Ginter (Phoenixville, Pa.) in the Trinity College men's tennis team's 7-2 loss at Wesleyan University on Saturday. Trinity dropped to 1-2 on the season and 0-2 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, while the Cardinals improved to 2-1 and 1-1 in the league.

No. 2 and No. 3 doubles had a close match as Pierce Rutledge (Chicago, Ill.) and Eduardo Sanchez-Carrion (Lima, Peru) fell 8-5 followed by a 8-6 loss by Rico Buoro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Brandon Felcher (Westport, Conn.). Bilicic dropped the first set 7-2 but rallied back in the second 7-5 and a tie-breaker 10-8 victory for the match point.
