Men's Tennis Falls 9-0 at Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — In the first game of 2023, the Trinity College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 contest on the road at Middlebury College on Saturday. Trinity fell to 0-1 on the season, while the Panthers improved to 1-0. The Bantams host their first match on Sunday against non-conference opponent Union College at noon at the Assaiante Tennis Center.

Co-captain Henry Bilicic (Del Mar, Calif.) had a close first match at No. 1 Singles against Noah Laber before falling 7-5 and 6-2 in the second match. Co-captain Eduardo Sanchez-Carrion (Lima, Peru) and doubles partner Pierce Rutledge (Chicago, Ill.) had a tight match at No. 2 Doubles against Aidan Harris and Laber, but suffered a narrow 8-6 loss.
