HARTFORD, Conn. - First-years Rico Buoro (Sao Paolo, Brazil) and Brandon Felcher (Westport, Conn.) won together in doubles and separately in singles to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Union College Dutchmen in men's tennis action afternoon on the indoor courts at Memorial Field House in the Ferris Athletic Center.  Trinity evens its season record at 1-1 with the home-opening victory, while the Dutchmen drop to 1-4.  Trinity will visit New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) rival Wesleyan next on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Trinity swept doubles play thanks to an 8-6 win by Buoro/Felcher at the bottom of the ladder, an 8-1 victory by Henry Bilicic (Del Mar, Calif.) and sophomore Jack Ginter (Phoenixville, Pa.) at first doubles and an 8-2 triumph by senior Eduardo Sanchez-Carrion (Lima, Peru) and sophomore Pierce Rutledge (Chicago, Ill.) at second doubles.  Bilicic also rolled at first singles, 6-1, 6-0, while Buoro won a closer match in straight sets at third singles, 6-4, 7-6 (3), as did Felcher at fourth singles, 6-4, 7-5.
