HARTFORD, Conn. — 
Henry Bilicic and 
Rico Buoro had a pair of close sets at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, but the Trinity College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 match against Bowdoin College at their home court, Assaiante Tennis Center, on Saturday. The Bantams moved to 5-11 on the season and 1-8 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, while the Polar Bears improved to 12-3 and 7-2. Trinity rounds out the regular season on Sunday with a home match against Colby College at 2 p.m.
Bilicic narrowly dropped the opening set at No. 1 singles, 7-6 with a 7-4 tiebreaker set, before falling 6-3 in the second. Buoro also had a close first set at No. 3 in 7-6 (5) loss but fell 6-3 in the next set. After a 6-2 first set loss, 
Pierce Rutledge rallied back for a close 7-5 loss in the second. At No. 2 doubles, partners 
Eduardo Sanchez-Carrion and Rutledge had a close match in the 8-6 loss against Evan Fortier and Mark Kneiss.
