HARTFORD, Conn. — Ella Baker (Gladstone, N.J.) recorded a pair of wins at No. 3 doubles with partner Elise Brennan (Valatie, N.Y.) and at No. 4 singles with a two-set victory in the Trinity College women's tennis team's 6-3 loss over Colby College to conclude the regular season on Sunday. The Bantams conclude the regular season with a 8-9 regular season record and 2-8 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, while the Colts improved to 6-7 and 3-7.

Baker and Brennan notched the final doubles point in 8-7 (5) victory to put the Navy & Gold on the board with a close 7-5 tiebreaker win at No. 3 doubles. At No. 4 singles, Baker's triumph with 7-5, 6-1 in straight-sets narrowed the deficit to within one, 3-2. A close loss at No. 3 solo with Angelina Shyltsyna (Odessa, Ukraine) and Ellie Gershaw put the visitors up, 5-2, before a close three-set match at No. 2 singles for Colby's clinching match point. Josephine Kimball (New York, N.Y.) rallied back after a close 7-5 loss at No. 2 for a 6-3 win to force a third set, but Sydney Landau outlasted the junior in 10-2 Colts' win. Allie Francis (Westport, Conn.) recorded a first set win, 6-2, at No. 5 singles before Caleigh McClain rallied back to force a third, where the first-year came out on top in 6-4 win for Trinity's final match point on the day.
