Henry Bilicic (Del Mar, Calif.) posted a 2-0 record for the Trinity College men's tennis team at No. 31 Brandeis University with an 8-3 doubles win with rookie partner
Rico Buoro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and a singles win (6-2, 6-4). Trinity fell 7-2 to the Judges on Thursday for an overall record of 4-7, while the home team moved to 7-5. The Bantams are back at home at the Assaiante Tennis Center on Saturday for a 2 p.m. New England Small College Athletic Conference match against Connecticut College.
At No. 1 doubles, duo Bilicic and Buoro topped Tommy Harrison and Dylan Walters for the first match point before Brandeis evened the score, 1-1, with a No. 2 partners win. The home team rounded out the doubles matches with an 8-3 win at No. 3 over
Eduardo Sanchez-Carrion (Lima, Peru) and
Brandon Felcher (Westport, Conn.). The Judges went on to win a trio of sole matches at No. 4, 5 and 3 before Bilicic notched the Navy & Gold's second point with a two-set victory over Dylan Walters at No. 1 singles.
