MEDFORD, Mass. - The Trinity College women's rowing team downed the United States Coast Guard Academy in both the second- and third-varsity eight races on the Malden River this morning.  Trinity's second-varsity eight posted a winning time of 7:48.1 and its third-varsity eight won over the Bears with a time of 8:06.6.  In varsity eight racing, the Bantams lost against Coast Guard by over 10 seconds and to the host Tufts University Jumbos by just under five seconds with a time of 7:28.6.  Tufts also defeated the Bantam second- and third-varsity eight in races today.  Tufts; varsity eight entered the day ranked No. 3 nationally and the Bantam varsity eight was ranked ninth.
