BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. - Senior co-captain
Nicholas Li (Vancouver, British Columbia) fired a 66 on day two to earn medalist honors with a 135 for the weekend and lead the Trinity College Bantams to the Tim Brown Men's Golf Invitational title this weekend at Ballston Spa Country Club. Li's Sunday round and his two-day total both set new Trinity men's golf records. Trinity was tied with Middlebury and Rensselaer for third after Saturday's play but pulled away from the field with a 276 today, 11 strokes better than any other team. The Bantams' two-day total of 564 gave them a five-stroke edge on second-place Husson for the team title. The event was Trinity's first tournament of the spring season.
Trinity sophomore
Benjamin Boyd (West Hartford, Conn.) was tied with Li after round one with a 69 and ended up just three strokes behind his teammate as the runner-up for medalist honors with the same score on the second day for a two-day total of 138. Li's 66 today broke the previous Bantam mark of 67 help by several former Trinity players and his weekend score of 135 broke the previous mark of 137 set by Will Rosenfield in the 2019 Tim Brown Invitational. Bantam senior co-captain
Max Edminster (Takoma Park, Md.) tied for 25th with a two-day score of 147 (75+72), while junior
Jack Godin (Wilbraham, Mass.) and sophomore
Bennett Ostern (Avon, Conn.) tied for 32nd with 148 each.
