BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Trinity College Men's Tennis squad battled in singles and doubles action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships, hosted by Bowdoin College, this weekend.
In A singles play, senior
Eduardo Sanchez-Carrion (Lima, Peru) overcame an opening set lost to collect an opening round win over Bowdoin's Aden Barrios (3-6, 6-2, 6-0), and then battled #2 seed Joey Barrett of Colby across three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 1-6, exiting in the round of 32.
In B singles play, sophomore
Brandon Felcher advanced to the quarterfinals of the draw, claiming victories over Aaron Bayse of Brandeis (8-5), Oliver Obeid of Tufts (8-6), and Max Lustergarten of Wesleyan (7-6, 6-3) before falling to Harry Collomb (Wesleyan) 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore

Andrew Nelson (Cohasset, Mass.), and junior
Jack Ginter (Phoenixville, Pa.) advanced to the Round of 32 with opening round victories.
In doubles action, the duo of Nelson and Buoro defeated Lorenzo Almeida and Filippo Nocchi of Emerson (8-2) and then fell to MIT's Kailas Kahler and Daniel Papacica (4-8). Pope and Felcher downed Tim Norin and Micah Matsudaira of Springfield College (8-4), and then lost to Kobe Ellbogen and Andreas Sillaste of Amherst College (3-8). The team of Ginter and first-year
Luca Garbati (Holland Landing, Ontario) dispatched Gordon's Jeffrey Bodner and Carleton Riester (8-0), but fell to Mauricio Gutierrez and Javier Gonzalez of Tufts (7-8 (7), 1-7).
The Bantams will return to the court for their final action of the fall at the Wallach Invitation, hosted by Bates College on October 14-15.
